Have you heard our adoption testimony?
For those who don’t know me, my name is Farrah Albertie. I am currently in the process of adopting from Haiti and I am humbling myself to ask for your help in bring my daughter home from Haiti!!
I am the single adoptive mom to Benjamin and Darius. I was blessed to adopt them 8 years ago from foster care. Adoption, foster care, orphan care, humanitarian aid so parents can keep their children our of orphanages is my life’s purpose….
In 2004, I stepped off a plane into the beautiful country of Haiti and my life has never been the same. I was blessed with the experience of spending time with kids in the orphanages and other children who lived in extreme poverty in Haiti. My heart is forever broken for the orphans of Haiti, yearning for a family of their own. I knew one day I would return to bring one of these precious little ones home.
Well I am pleased to announce 11 years later, I have the honor of becoming a parent to a Haitian orphan. Today, I would like to include you on my Haitian adoption journey!
I am in the matching stages of our adoption journey. At this time, my application has been accepted to adopt from Haiti by Chinese Children Adoption International (CCAI) and my homestudy is complete and dossier has been sent to Haitian Social Services to await the referral of my daughter.
Unfortunately, the process of adoption requires that I step out on faith and be stretched in ways that are out of my comfort zone. I am so thankful that I have the means to provide for a child’s daily needs, but the reality is there is a substantial amount of money (over $30,000) needed to bring this child home.
Would you be willing to enter into this journey with us? Whether you feel led to help me financially or through your prayers and encouragement, it all means the world to me!
