Have you heard our adoption testimony?
If there is one thing more loved than coffee, it’s Eric and Lauren Jensen. As friends that are truly family, their journey through birth, loss, grief, and adoption has also become a part of our journey. When the tragic moments of life happen, it is vital to find support amidst our community… as well as when the exciting one’s happen! For this reason we are setting out to partner with Gobena Coffee to raise funds towards the adoption process of the Jensen’s new son Samuel Ezekiel Jet Jensen. Samuel officially joined Eric and Lauren’s family on November 30, 2016, just two days after learning they were a match. He was born on November 28th, weighing 5lbs 8oz and 19″ long, with a head full of dark brown hair. From what I’ve been told, he is nothing less than precious and a true gift. Love, Steph
A few words from the Jensens: We are excited about adoption. We are grateful. We are honored. We are hopeful. And we recognize that adoption is both a joyful and a grievous event as one family welcomes a child and another says goodbye. That reality is not lost on us.
We are parents without our children here with us, a uniquely difficult role to play after our son Isaac was born still in 2015 and our following two miscarriages. It has been a hard road. Since before we were married, we wanted adoption to be a part of our family journey. We believe family is God’s design and reflects His heart, and we want to live that out by providing a loving home to raise children who know and relish in the fact that they are deeply loved.
Our fundraising for adoption is part of our effort to live our lives openly so that others can come alongside us. Throughout our lives and especially in our grief, we experienced incredible support through friends and family willing to be with us in our pain and silence, tears and questions. We struggled yet learned to ask for help to get through tough times. And we learned that there is community in suffering as well as in joy. We invite you in to share with us on this adoption journey. It is a family and community event in many ways, and we want to share our joy with you. Please consider supporting us through prayer, encouragement, and purchasing some GREAT coffee! We hope this gift sparks authentic conversations about adoption, pregnancy loss, stillbirth, God’s grace, and the uniqueness of family.
