Ten years ago, we watched a video at church about an orphanage in Tanzania. That video stirred our hearts.  My wife (Marie) and I discussed it and thought that someday God might call us to adopt a child. But then wasn’t the time because I had lost my job at the time of the recession and Marie had just gave birth to our second child. Over the next 8 years, the thought of adoption went away.  After our third child, we were content with our three beautiful daughters.  We talked about being done having children.
On May 15th, 2015, that all changed.  Marie was at home reading her bible when God spoke very clear to her, “It’s time to adopt”.  She was shocked, to say the least. I was at work at the time and we wouldn’t see or talk to each other until after she finished her work that night.  But little did she know that God was about to talk to me that very same day!  I was driving home from work, when an advertisement about adoption came on the radio.  It immediately caught my attention and I had an overwhelming sense that we should adopt.  I was shocked, but decided that I would wait to talk to Marie about it until I was completely sure that it was God and not my emotions.  When Marie came home, she told me what God told her and I said “well that was for sure God, because he told me the same thing. Let’s adopt.”
