As a young girl, I remember many times when adoption was on my mind. Early in mine and Michael’s marriage, we had adoption on our minds as well. We decided to start expanding our family after seven years of marriage and became pregnant with our daughter, Haven, 2 ½ years later. She is a bright, fun, animal-loving girl. We knew God intended to bless our family with more children, however, we needed time to heal after a traumatic pregnancy and delivery. Adoption was mentioned several times during these years, but we just did not feel ready to move forward. Around 3 years after Haven was born, we were surprised to learn that we were pregnant. Our beautiful son, Emerson, was stillborn at 20 weeks. Our faith and support grew and grew after losing our son. We became pregnant approximately 8 months later and miscarried at 11 weeks. We were devastated, AND God provided such an amazing support system that walked alongside us during that devastating year.
Honestly, we cannot fully describe what happened within the next few months. Our desire to adopt only deepened. We felt it in our bones. While adoption had always been in the back of our minds, we had never before felt this degree of intensity around adopting. God was telling us: IT’S TIME!!!
God moved and led our hearts to adopting from Africa. God has opened so many doors for us to move forward in this Journey. We cannot count how many times God has reminded us that He has called us to adopt from Africa, and we have no doubt He will continue to do so. Thank you so much for your support.

Have you tried Fresh Coffee before?
Our coffee beans are purchased fresh and in season from the farmer. For example, when our Colombian partner harvests their coffee and finishes the drying process, we import the dried green coffee beans as soon as possible. Once the beans arrive, we small batch roast them. When we say fresh, we mean fresh.
We also believe that beans are roasted to bring out their original flavor. Each bean has different flavor notes and requires different roast temperatures and times. Roasting in small batches allows us to roast each bean to its full potential! Is the coffee your currently drinking over roasted? Probably so. Most roasters tend to over roast because they are using old, out of season beans. That’s why your coffee tastes burnt.
Most specialty coffee retails for $20-$25 per bag. Our prices are $10-$15 per bag less than that. How can we do this? We are vertically integrated, meaning we cut out the middlemen to offer you a great product at a great price!
