We believe that adopting children are some of the good works that God had prepared for us long ago, referenced from Ephesians 2:10. We do not write that pridefully, as in, “Look at what we’ve done,” but God put this desire on our hearts and arranged circumstances for us to adopt, and we needed to obey. This desire to adopt began when God adopted us into His family. Jesus gave us the right to become children of God, and we received Him by believing in His name (John 1:12). We were alienated from God by our sins and evil deeds, but Jesus reconciled us to Himself by His own sacrificial death on the cross (Colossians 1:21-22). Since we were adopted spiritually, we want to adopt physically. God has mightily blessed us with knowledge of Himself, loving extended families free of strife, a stable job for Robbie which gives Erica the freedom not to earn money to stay at home and care for our kids instead, and much more. We want to share what we have been given from God in order to bless a child physically, and we pray, spiritually through salvation in Jesus as well. In addition, international adoption is an avenue for our family to participate in missions even while we believe God has called us to stay in America as Robbie helps pastor a local church. We were called to grow our family through adoption with our first son Peter. God has been so faithful to bless our little family these past two years. We seek to grow our family and for our son Peter to have a sibling. We chose to adopt through India again so that our children can have some shared culture, background and even be able to share in some physical characteristics. Ultimately what led us to pursue adoption were these truths in scripture.

1. Children are a blessing from the Lord (Psalm 127:3)
2. God commands us to care for the orphan (James 1:27)
3. God’s heart is to place the lonely in a home (Psalm 68:6)

We pray that the Lord will soon fulfill that verse in our family, by bringing a little one to us and making our family complete.
